ALVIGO awarded contract for secondary N₂O abatement at MAXAM-CHIRCHIQ with NACAG support
ALVIGO AS is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a tender and signed a contract with MAXAM-CHIRCHIQ for the implementation of a secondary nitrous oxide (N₂O) emission abatement system at its nitric acid plant in Chirchiq, Uzbekistan. The project is financed through the Nitric Acid Climate Action Group (NACAG), an initiative dedicated to decarbonizing the global nitric acid sector. This award represents ALVIGO’s second climate-focused project supported by NACAG, following the recent and successful commissioning of an N₂O abatement system at Rustavi Azot in Georgia. With a global warming potential nearly 300 times greater than CO₂, N₂O makes secondary abatement essential for delivering an immediate, verifiable environmental impact. We thank MAXAM-CHIRCHIQ and NACAG for their trust and collaboration as we work together toward a cleaner industrial future.

World Hydrogen Summit 2026 — meeting GIZ and the EU–India industry
The ALVIGO team attended the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition at Rotterdam Ahoy in the Netherlands, joining the project inauguration alongside Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima. The delegation also took part in the 3rd India–Europe Business Forum on Green Hydrogen and Decarbonization, connecting with representatives of GIZ to discuss collaboration and knowledge exchange in green hydrogen and clean energy. The EU and India are deepening their industrial-decarbonization partnership — reducing N₂O and NOx emissions in fertilizer production while preserving competitiveness is becoming an industry priority.
